yeah the atmosphere and difficulty are at odds. the music is way too relaxing.

you can see those backpacks, they're just right within view. They have to be reachable somehow...

right? Cause hell-if-I-know how to get damn near any of em'. Also, those man-fish are freaky as shit. But yes, its a good gol dern game.

DCharlie introduced me to this, apparently it's like super rare, or there's a psx remake that is super rare? Not sure. I have the PSX one, my buddy used to work at XING and just gave it to me....I don't think I've ever cleared the second level. Smh so weak

Check out the 3ds version. It's available in English on the 3ds eshop called Yumi's Odd Odyssey.

I've always heard of this game but never seen it in action. I just watched a clip of the SNES(?) version and wow, I'm impressed with this game's mechanics. Like, I wanna play it now.

bionic commando at least has your hook extend and retract and reliable speeds, with understandable swing arcs. later sections of umihara kawase go "hey figure out the elasticity of this fishing line to propel yourself past this obstacle" check out ninja five-o on the gba if you want a swinging game where you can make some mistakes.
