Blade 1 and 2 are top tier comic movies. Hellboy is amazing too. I really like Hellboy 2 but I get that most people don't.

I don't care much for this slight differences. Yes it's annoying to own a PS4 and know the game could've looked better but I'm an avid GAFer and videogamer, I own a 50" LED Samsung HDTV and I struggle to see the difference between 720p and 1080p (but I do notice it). I can't see myself being able to discern between 900 and 1080.

That being said I will complain on this point: where was the parity police when clearly inferior PS3 versions (when compared to 360) were being released by third parties with games like Red Dead Redemption, Bayonetta, The Orange Box and GTAIV?

Sony ain't no saint but they sure as hell didn't enforced this parity. Not even when the PS2 was markedly less powerfull than the OG Xbox either.

I've owned almost every game from this series. I've owned and still own AC, ACII, AC:B, AC:R, ACIII (limited edition) and AC:IV, and I will sadly have to skip on this game. I just cannot support a shitty practice like this. Intentionally gimping a version? That's mediocre and laughable at best. Why didn't devs forced parity between ps3 and Xbox 360 but are doing it now?

For great reason...admitting to purposely holding back one version to avoid debates is a ridiculous move. I really enjoy the clarity that comes with a full HD image, so to know we're being denied that for the sake of PR is pretty much a guarantee I won't be buying Unity anymore.

I just can't swallow shelling out my money for a product that's held back on purpose.

As for Blade 1/2: Fun in a cheesy way. But I wouldn't call them "good" films.

Batman '80's was alright. But Nolan's Batman is (IMO) better because it feels like it isn't trying to be a "comedy" and more like the Batman comics. IMO.

X-men 1/2 were great. 3 was okay but I can see why most people hated it. Origins: Wolverine was terrible (and Deadpool will be bad because Ryan Reynolds), First Class was okay. The Wolverine was amazing if you're a Weeaboo, okay-ish if you aren't. I haven't seen Days of Future Past yet. I kinda want to read the comic before it just to probably nerd rage about shit not in it.

But I think Fox's "hits" for the X-men have been more than their "misses," for me. So I don't get why (outside of not being able to cross-promote/cross-characters in Avengers like films) Marvel is so salty over them. If anything, the X-men films actually got me to check the comic series out as a kid wayyyy more than Marvels comic lines/animated shows would've.

As far as the "Marvel Cinematic Universe" I don't think they're anything more than popcorn films and in that regard I have fun with nearly all of them (even Ironman 2) though I haven't watched Thor 1/2 or Captain America because neither of those two characters have been interesting to me.

I watch Comic Book films to turn my mind off for two hours and be "entertained," which is fine with me. People treating them as if they're Shakespeare or something are on the losing side.

She just graduated from a medical/spa-related field and is starting her own business. When we first started dating she hadn't graduated yet. Not having a steady income was no biggie then, she was still in school. The problem now is that for the entire past five plus months she has had zero steady income to the point where she hasn't even made enough money to pay her $200/month rent fee for the room in her office. I've had to end up paying it for like the last three or four months. That in itself is not a lot but I only make $24K/year and I have some debt. She has a lot of debt, which will soon include student loan fees. Her parents refuse to lend her money, which, at first, didn't bother me. But now I'm kind of worried. She has had steady, well-paying jobs in the past, but the fact her dad won't lend her some money here and there has me anxious.

I love her, but the biggest strain on our relationship right now is finances. We're going to be moving in together soon. I realize that she just started her business she is still building it, but every time I get stressed the hell out about money she doesn't want to talk about it/gets upset. I have talked to her about getting like a part time job until her business has grown but she always says that she has been looking a lot and has filled out a lot applications but no one will hire her. OK I get that, I guess.

And we haven't moved in together yet, but it's going to happen by February. The thing I'm terrified about is that when I look at it rationally, I've been dating someone who hasn't had a job in six plus months with some random income here and there. When is OK for me to say you need to get a job without looking/sounding like an asshole, especially if we are going to be living together and she can't even afford her work-related office rent?

This whole Assassins Creed parity thing has annoyed me way more than it should a 32 year old man. Especially one that doesn't like Assassins Creed much. The explanation given was a shocker and only annoyed me further. I don't want to support that company.

I don't think I have ever thought voting with my wallet for games was necessary. After all I just like to play video games and leave the industry to sort itself out. But this one bothered me more than normal.

So have Ubisoft or more widely, other companies in the video game industry annoyed you to the point where you actively avoid all their games. Even ones you may well want to play? Voting with your wallet seems a bit excessive and probably will make little difference but it seems to me I'd at least be making some tiny statement

If the Witcher3 is 900p on PS4 is it safe to assume that MS demand for parity?

Just wondering since both AC:Unity and Witcher 3 are on the same co-marketing deal with MS. Also got the hunch that COD:AW would also be the same.

The way I see it is that most block buster title would be demanded to have some sort of parity while the lesser title from lesser studio would get a free pass. Make sense in term of business and marketing perspective.

Now this, I believe, is important information. A few days ago I theorised that the CPU is a serious bottleneck because it seemed to be the only explanation for why PC graphics cards that are weaker than the PS4 GPU are able to match it or even outperform it. We've had numerous cases so far where cards like the 750Ti, rated at 1.4 Tflops, match or even exceed in some cases the PS4's performance when paired with a decent Intel or even AMD CPU. In my opinion there is clearly a pattern here because this shouldn't be happening, especially if we take into account that game consoles have the added benefit of low level optimizations.

So I'd like some thoughts on what happens next. Obviously the hardware is set in stone, so how do developers deal with this issue? Do they limit the scope of their games, do they try to optimise their code for heavily multi threaded workloads, do they bank on compute and hUMA?
