You buy the game on whatever console you own, and that's the best version, because unless you own more than one, that's the only version you got. It's like being jealous of someone owning a Samsung TV when you own a Vizio. Unless you have them side by side you aren't gonna know the fucking difference. Hell, unless you have a kicking top of the line rig, you aren't even getting the "best" when you buy PC. You're getting the 660 GTX version, or "whatever card/CPU combo you're running" version. It's one thing to be offended and ask for a subject to not be discussed in your presence due to a history with the subject (IE don't objectify women when there are indeed women standing there). It's entirely another to hop on the back of whatever the fuck offends people these days (everything) and demand 10,000 people on a message board respect your wish when it's just as easy to you know, not go into the fucking thread in the first place.

For instance the political thread pisses me off once in a while, but I'm not going to ask for it to be shut down....christ.

The problem is GAF is full of a ton of the latter and none of the former.
