I liked Frozen but didn't get the hype. Then again, Little Mermaid and Beauty & The Beast did nothing for me either. I preferred Tangled.

the hype of frozen is that it's one of the most progressive films in a long time, particularly for a family movie. Looking at last Disney films, it stars a princess or whatever equivalent who needs help, and needs a man to save her and the two fall in love and true love (tm) as presented by Hollywood wins the day. This of course isn't just a Disney thing but it's pretty much a thing in practically all Disney films that star a woman. Frozen flips all of this on its head, showing that love can be more than what Hollywood has told us it is (I.e. Between a man and a woman) and can be something as simple as sisterly love. Frozen owns because it's girl power and sisterhood distilled in an fun ass movie. The problem of course is that the Internet ruins everything and made arguably one of the best Disney movies into a damn cult.

Hey there's a fine line between good and something vaguely worth spending $40 on. I figured that even a slightly better Brawl would be fine to pick up and play on the go with friends, but the 3DS's shit controls plus Sakurai's Kid Icarus fetishism and his inability to come up with good, new gameplay modes/features had to go and prove me wrong.
