I'd rather slap you for how much you apparently missed about Gundam. Char is'nt a noble and his beef with Zabi is because they've twisted the ideas that his father(who did want free colonies and for people to leave earth) had.. Degwin dies because Ghiren kills him. Please read Origin.

The joke about Char being a pedophile is because he's had a lot of relationships with young girls. Hell this is even mentioned in CCA.  Gyunei alludes to  to Quess in order to win her over and make Char look bad. Gyunei claims Char just likes young girls and is in fact just using Nanai which is possible because he dosen't seem to care about her. I think he even makes a claim that he  takes an interest in plenty of young girls and it's a big rumor among Neo Zeon.  He also has a relationship with Haman when she was a young teen.

Hence I said it was hilarious, but it's stated like many times in CCA that the reason he's doing that is to force everyone into space. When Quess asks him why he's doing that he even adds that this will give Earth a long rest as everyone leaves it. It's stupid, but his goal of drooping things on earth is not kill or destroy the earth. It's to force everyone to come into space and became a newtype, which is exactly his father's idea.

He actually states as much in Zeta. Well the tv series as the movies cut out his speech at Dakar. But there he states that everyone needs to join him in space.

Iirc he didn't say that colonists were superior, just that there's a likelihood that living in space will present the next step to human evolution. Zabi twists this. He was after all, Zeon's (Char's father) assistant. He takes Zeon's new type theory, twists it, and makes it into an extremist philosophy that pits colonies against Earth. Of course this is besides the point of Char's hatred for Zabi family and just dressing.
