Yes. I hated Turok on the Xbox 360. I think it is such a vile and ugly game. I hate it so much. It's such crap in every way.

And, I think a mod or someone worked on the game on this forum, so I rarely speak of it, but it is such utter garbage. If there is one game I played last generation that I could un-play and get my time and energy and emotion back, it would be Turok.

I hate that game so much.

Somewhere at the start of the thread he says he worked on a EA Sports game, and considering some of his questionable posts and his postcount being this unusually high could mean this is somewhat of a personal vendetta here, lol *remembers image with of him with Sony hat on* now it all comes full circle
iirc, Massive Bear (his start-up after Turok) lost like half its staff over to EA Sports overnight not long after Massive Bear was hired to do some outsourced modeling or something.

I'd almost swear an unnamed EA title used to be listed on their site as one of their projects.

MB used to tout their ability to surpass 360 performance for ports on the PS3 on their site. I think that was part of the original hook they were offering other companies. Don't even know if bish is still involved, his tag and stuff were all promoting it and he'd talk about it in threads and then went completely silent regarding it.

I think he got started at EA Sports too.

Why do I know any of this?

Turok was absolute fucking garbage.

I recall Bish getting real pissed at people who said the game seemed awful after playing the demo.

He also worked on at POS The Outfit.

And then he fucking owned himself and his co-workers in another thread saying if you can't match the 360 version of your game on PS3 (or exceed it), that you are a bad developer....which is exactly what happened with Turok.

And Evolution Wipeout wouldn't be the same as Psygnosis/Studio Liverpool.

No thanks at the idea of reviving the series with a different studio.

2048 :ufup

2048's biggest problem is the lack of Racebox. If you were able to set Zones for specific maps and stuff: It wouldn't be that bad. My only complaint otherwise is the narrow maps + the hardwares sticks making it hard to control the ship at times.

Nomadic peoples trying to find a place in a rapidly expanding, sedentary urban sprawl.

Biggest fuck up here was by far from those bastards in authority. A decade ago some bright spark thought it was a good idea to designate my town; a deprived shithole in the north of england as a "migrant dispersal centre". It's a town that never recovered from the 80's, declines year after year and didn't have the resources it needed. But now has to contend with settling hundreds of families with unique language, health, education and cultural needs. Now it's being revealed that they're preyed upon by dodgy asian landlords rent wise, their girls are being groomed. And since the recent EU expansion and travel restrictions being lifted, they're now coming back in to contact with czechs, bulgars and romanians that never stopped hating their fucking guts.

It's not going to end well, not a chance.

It's sadly become the designated dumping ground. Cheap housing and rents. And with poor people from London, both home grown and immigrants getting sent up to those areas by London councils clearing the way for expensive housing being put in their former homes, some parts of England are going to change massively in the next few years especially the north. In some ways some racial variation would be good for some parts of England, but not like this. Powers that be are just creating a powder keg situation.

Not going to be pretty when it goes off...

Oh, benji.  That rascal! It always amuses me when I discover his posts calling me out. Once or twice a week I'll do a search for "Youngblood" just to check for replies to posts I may have missed, and the results usually fall into three categories.

1.) Replies to or mentions of me.
2.) Posts about the classic Rob Liefeld comic book.
3.) benji posts like this: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=159652558&postcount=3520 . And I always discover them days later and notice that they basically go ignored in the thread. There's two possibilities here: benji's insanity is well known and not worth addressing, or the notoriety of my poor moderation is well known and not worth addressing. Probably a little from Column A, a little from Column B.

i once saw steve youngblood refer to a rob liefeld comic as "classic".

My fav thing about Wipeout flavor is that the American team's vehicle just goes really fast and handles like shit + their team motto is "Have a nice day".

(For those blessed to not be involved in significant transatlantic interactions, poms think it's fucking hilarious that Americans wish strangers a nice day.)

Wipeout is very culturally sensitive. The Russian team is cynically operated for money (the creator of the hover technology was a stupid hippie) and when they fall on hard times vor v zakone buy them. The African Union team is known for agile ships. Et cetera.

Why can't we have a strip club/Dave and Buster's?

Quote from: DoktorEvil;159960784
I got the invite for a bachelor party in a month or so for a friend's wedding, which ends up being in a strip club. I've been close friends with the groom for 20 years, so I'm obliged to go.

Having been to strip clubs twice in my life, I am not looking forward to being coerced into spending a ton of money for 90 second lap dances and throwing singles all around to feel like a boss. It's not my thing. I'm also not a big drinker anymore.

Hasn't anyone tried to make a place that combines arcade games, female sex appeal, and food/drink? I'd like to be able to just play Golden Tee or MK2 or Tetris as an alternate option.

It's probably not joking either...

It might seem beta as fuck -- and I'd never insist on not going to strip club for someone else's bachelor party -- but I'm actually with that guy about D&B's over a strip club. Mainly just because I'd prefer practically any other place that serves a cold beer over a strip club. I'm not saying that I don't understand the appeal or deriding people for enjoying them, but it's not my scene. I wouldn't insist on video games or anything. Just drinking and no strippers.

Whaaaaaa

Even the EU has a team (Feisar).

E: I conceptualize it as something like racing as it is mated with the aerospace industry where de jure it's private industry but de facto these are all inefficient public agencies since ain't no one but a government is buying an air superiority fighter.
