I like that Pickles' had the balls to call out Lore and agree with many of his points, but there's plenty of evidence that he can't be reasoned with and lacks the self-awareness to ever admit fault.
As bad it sounds I've also become a bit jaded with the pro-feminist fight, as all of my friends are also big pro-feminists and they spent so much time analyzing and trying to decipher every facet of society as if it's all part of some misogynist, male empowering agenda.
I remember talking to one of my friend's about how she hates being asked to dance when she's out alone at a club, and how she likes to dance by herself, but the place she went to has this big reputation as a place you go to find hookups. She also once complained about getting hit on at a grocery store, relenting that sometimes she wishes she could just go out in public and be left alone. It just seemed like a pointless and delusional crusade.
The whole heterosexual dating phenomenon has always seemed a bit misogynist in nature to me, but I'm not convinced the average American woman wants it to be any different. Maybe it's because of societal pressure or social conditioning, but there are definitely some women out there that enjoy the belittling cat and mouse facade of dating, just as there are some who truly enjoy the antiquated domestic relationships of old where the man acts almost as a dictator in a fashion. In Ohio these types of women seem to be the majority and bringing up third wave feminism or Laura Mulvey after watching a movie seems to be a total turnoff.
