Meh. We all got our quirks.
That whole thread is just a mess (as are all gaf threads lately).
It sorta reminds me when I saw these kids in football jerseys pushing and picking on a kid because he was wearing a star trek shirt when I was picking up my kids.
I interjected telling them to stop picking on the kid. One of the punks said that he was just picking on him because he was a geek. I said that a filthy Raiders fan had no place to comment on anyone's taste and at least the Star Trek team wins every once in a while.
I don't really remember what the kid said then I just remember asking him if his boyfriend knew he had stolen his jersey.
Long and short of it, I don't really find anything wrong with people's obsessions as everyone has them. I've seen a girl tell me that she would never date a gamer because they're weird and creepy. But at the same time she proudly displayed her Sex in the City collection. So....
Honestly even though it's funny to be like "LOLZ teh salt!" If someone was shallow enough to exclude people from their lives because they had different hobbies and such, I probably wouldn't want them in my life either. Like I said, I stopped caring about what hobbies other people have long ago, I'm not in high school.
