I still really don't care to get a WiiU. I've found myself disliking a lot of the design choices that go into modern nintendo games, which are the sole reason you'd even buy their hardware in the first place. The only reason I would have considered one was smash bros, and they did me a favor and put that on the 3DS where its even easier to meet up with friends and play with, even if the game suffers due to running on garbage hardware. Not that it's good spending sense to buy a whole console for just one game anyway.

My twitter feed over the last few days has been amusing; Ninthings that never gave a shit about Bayo 1 suddenly acting like Bayo 2 is gaming's holy grail without having even played it.

Am I the only person who never found Bayonetta that embarrassing? It's a game about a sexual witch kills Angels and shit. It's got nothing on God of War or Dead or Alive, and whatever sexual stuff encompasses a pretty small part of the game. In fact, I've only heard of people being embarrassed to play Bayonetta only recently. I certainly didn't hear any of this talk about embarrassment when the game came out.

I bought a used 360 just to play Bayo 1. Walked in fully aware of what it was, loved it despite the gratuity, totally worth the trouble. But if the subject of her depiction comes up? I can't in good faith not point out some of the issues, or reduce the protesters to "sheltered, puritan, crybabies"— that would put me in the same category as those dishonest "gamers" trying to shutdown others cause they're worried they'll ruin their hobby somehow.

Basically I'm but not in denial.

I can't honesty call people puritanical for their views at all. I never said that. I just never saw the imagery in Bayo as a particularly big deal. As someone who plays games, I've seen much, much worse.

I wasn't pointing at you boo, just some of the more popular rhetorics in past discussion. And I do agree that there are for more explicit imagery, but with Bayo it's integral to the theme, extremely non sequitur, highly suggestive but not explicit (blue balls effect), and possibly too foreign.
