Yes. I get that. But what I've never been clear on is what makes a regular Mario AI vs. regular DK AI any different from a Mario Amiibo AI vs. DK Amiibo AI battle. The only thing I've been able to ascertain from these vague press releases and the wonderful video Shaka linked above is that the Amiibo levels up? But I still don't get what the point of that is.

Anyway, I'm already two replies over the amount of conversation this deserves. So, I'm happy to move on and just stick with my current position of probably never buying one of these unless my kid throws one in the cart.

I don't see anyone but Nintendo fans drinking that Kool-aid though. But who knows, maybe Smash will be a big hit with age 4-5 like Skylanders.

This dude at work is going INSANE about this amibo stuff, a few months ago he kept hyping that shit to me like he wanted me to get into them  and how they are going to be worth tons of money on the resales market. He has (had? is this stuff out?) tons of them on pre-orders and he was super worried about not being able to find the Link and Mario ones.

The brand is for sale but I don't see the chinese buying it.
Frankly, I don't see anyone buying it. A high overhead market with falling revenues? No one is signing up for that.
