I haven't played Kotor because fuck Star Wars, but Jade Empire and Mass Effect 2 were 2 of the shittiest and shallowest RPGs I've ever played in my life I think. Got through Jade Empire by using the default moveset and mashing the same combo over and over, not once varying it, and I never died once. ME2 took out all the broken, yet still interesting, stuff about the first game, removed any exploration, and replaced it with an average cover shooter.
