One "for girls" anime I've seen is Fruits Basket and that's about it. Well, no... no, yeah that's about the only one I had that is marketed toward girls. I have read "for girl" manga like Fruits Basket, Kare Kano (?)/His and Her Circumstances and... Gravitation (in a fashion it's for girls). That last one actually didn't have a bad localization from Tokyopop.

Exactly, and I support the concept if I actually had faith in our justice system to always get it right (less super violent inmates->safer prisons).
