Mostly just assuming. But he stopped showing up on IRC and his brag threads are getting sparser and more pathetic. I think after a string of failed short term girlfriends, several trips around the world that all ended up with him injured, and lots of shallow partying he might be realize he doesn't have a single real friend in the world and all his attempts at buying them/happiness aren't working out.

So knowing him he'll probably undertake some ridiculous new hobby/past time rather than coming to real terms with his issues.
