Hoping some people versed in WordPress can help me here.
I'm looking to start up a small site with game and movie reviews and shit like that, and I'm trying to figure out if something like WordPress will actually be able to do what I need. As such I've got a few quick questions.
I don't like the way the category pages sort their content, and I wonder if it's possible to organize it differently. Here's what I mean, and how I'd like it to change:

building on that question, anyone know if there's any way to get some categories to load a custom description? Like, for instance, if I had a Reader Chosen Movies section, visitors might not have an immediate idea what that meant. It would be awesome if clicking on the 'Reader Chosen Movies' link could somehow have something like a paragraph or so explaining that section, and then a list of the movies.
Something like this (and I'm typing this right now. I haven't thought this wording up in advance):
Archive for the 'Reader Chosen Movies' CategorySo you're wondering what reader chosen movies are? Here's the deal: We want our readers to send us movies they'd like to see reviewed on the site. Every two weeks one of our editors will pick one of these movies at random, and so long as we can find a copy of it somewhere, you'll get your review. We'll review anything we can find, so get your devious juices flowing and send us suggestions for trash to review!
>>Anime Shitfuckfest
>>Blades
>>Class of Nuke 'Em High
>>Mary Kate And Ashley's Detective Hour
>>The Bridges of Madison County
>>I can't think of any more shitty titles, so I'm done.

Can anyone tell me if WordPress is robust enough to do any of this?
