-Introduce a "dislike" button for posts. If a poster racks up 50 dislikes in a week they get lepered for 48 hours. I call this the Squiddy Act.

-Remove the soccer thread from the sticky section.

-Enforce a 30 minute delay on every Father Mike post in the NSFW thread, to give staff time to properly determine whether it should be deleted or reported to the proper authorities.

-Create a derivatives market for likes, where posters can bet on how many likes they believe a post will receive. A 10% tax will be applied to each bet and be used to finance the continuation of this.

You can't magically cure folks' addiction to GAF-drama.  We created that thread so that posters would have a safe, contained space for those discussions, to avoid the chaos of having it spill over into other threads and the wasted resources of a futile attempt to ban GAF discussion altogether.
