The soundtrack for the first one was fantastic I can only hope it'll have some catchy tunes. I've heard some stuff about the racing bits that make it sound even less forgiving than the first one which has me a bit concerned when it comes to the driving gameplay.

I'd love to see them use their TopGear connection in Horizon for some of those amazing races in future games.

The demo is up. Played it for a bit this morning. Really enjoyable. Very similar to the first but that's a good thing for me.

I created some Game DVR videos but the game mutes ALL the sound including engine noises which is annoying so no point posting them in this thread. I get the whole licensed music issue but I don't think Forza 5 did this. (Maybe it did. I don't remember.) Or maybe an option to turn off the music and then it will record the game sound. Otherwise it makes the DVR feature useless.

Demo is a small cut down version of the map with a few races. A bucket list challenge. I think it has an online roam option but I couldn't get it to work.

edit: Went back and looked at one of my old videos and it definitely did not cut the engine sound or the music in Forza 5.

It's weird. The game DVR seems to now be recording the sound I think. Maybe that was a bug or something. I'll test it again and upload my first two online races if it works.

It's a bug. Fixed with a hard reset.

This demo is the absolute tits. The intro and presentation is mindblowingly good. Racing's ridiculous fun.

Why in the blue hell did Microsoft spunk $2.5 Billion on Mojang when they probably could have had bought Playground and had them make a new Project Gotham for 1/10th of that (Well, other than buying a cultural phenomenon, natch)

this looks really great. I didn't know they transitioned into full open world. since TDU I've wanted an open world racer with grounded driving physics. hope this is one of the xb1 games that ends up on PC.

I think playground can make PGR If microsoft wanted them to. at least I don't think bizarre was owned by microsoft if they put out the club for sega.

Spent some time this afternoon playing around and last night playing the demo. It looks like they imported all of the driveatars from Forza 5 into FH2. It's a god damn disaster at every turn! Some of these damn drivers are so aggressive and push me off the road or into a corner. After I got over that I'd say I've been having a blast.

It's missing some features but technically it was supposed to be a decent version. There were some gifs on gaf comparing the 2 versions and while the x1 version was obviously better, the 360 version wasn't so bad.

I've had too much fun in this game. I need to find one more barn find, which hasn't unlocked yet for me to find. I'm working on my second set of championships and still having a blast.

Got this on XB1. Game is addictive as fuck.

I usually hate racing games, especially overly serious ones. This one is a lot more enjoyable and laid back. I loved the First Forza Horizon, this is even better.

Plus seeing people's drivatars roaming about the world never gets old.

Random cool race in the campaign.

Such a fun game. Finished the Forza Horizon finale for the first time last night. Long ass race. Over the course of the campaign I had turned off replays so that's a pretty long race to not screw up on. I really like how as I played more I could feel my skill progress. By the end I was playing on hard with replays off and pro drivatars.

I ended up using a 1985 Ford RS200. Really like that car. Love the handling and feel of it.

This isn't the finale race but the car I like above.

Now on to the multiplayer as I wanted to go through the campaign first to amass some cars.
