Which insect gets no mercy from you?

I was shooting hoops last night and noticed a horsefly hanging onto the basketball pole for a bit. I was overcome by this primal urge to kill it. Without even thinking about it much, I kicked off my sandal and wapped it dead. 

I just found it so strange that I was so compelled to kill this thing that really posed no threat to me.

Horseflies deserve death. Along with hornets, mosquitos, house flies, fruit flies. Pretty much anything that isn't supposed to be in the house.

I just do that with the bro-insects like Spiders and Bees. There is a bush filled with bees near where my car is parked and they just chill on the bush whenever I walk by. I even let some Spiders hang out on the ceiling for a week during a hot spell and they got around five flies for me before I moved them on. I ain't gonna kill something with a positive contribution to society.

Wasps and flies are just assholes who get the business end of a RAID can tho'

I'm permanently scared all over my legs due to fleas. They are in a category known as "burn it all" in which I'll most likely go to jail due to arson. So fleas, bed bugs, ticks, and all those freaky parasite carrying bugs can all go fuck themselves.

I'm cool with most spiders. I've been bitten twice by brown recluse and have been lucky. But I understand they are natures equalizer and are there to eat the pesky bugs. Too bad they can't get rid of my slug problem in my garden.

Last summer I just could not get rid of the fruit flies in my house. I disinfected everything from top to bottom, made sure to clean all dishes immediately after using them, went through the cupboards looking for anything they might be subsisting on, and just couldn't figure it out.

After about two weeks I found this bag of onions that my roommate had bought months before and stuffed between the fridge and the oven. The whole bottom layer had rotted, and the flies were coming from that. I threw it out, and the problem vanished.

But for those two weeks I was the Pol Pot of the insect realm.

Last year it was fruit flies. I remember going to grab a bread roll out of a bag. This was a fresh bag from the day before. The inside was absolutely swarmed with the little jerks.

As I was typing this post, another flying ant came into my room and hit the window. They reemerged from their little home in the wall earlier and I had to take care of them.

It's all love between me and insects/spiders. I run a catch and release program almost exclusively. Personally only go for the kill with particularly dangerous guys. Your black widows, brown recluses. Everything else I'll pick up and move outside or try to guide out a window.

Friend made me kill a spider in her kitchen a few weeks ago. Felt awful about it. These hostilities will only end when we stop using disproportionate force against insects. Otherwise we're dropping bombs on women and children while the real villains get exactly what they want.

I hadn't heard about the soap and vinegar trap until about a year ago. We were at a gardening store looking at something that had the same chemicals but was like $7. Someone passing by told us about the much cheaper equivalent.

The Japanese giant hornet is large and very aggressive, especially if provoked. Cockroaches and mosquitoes get no mercy, flies can live if they piss off, otherwise I run a catch and release as well.

And the oosuzumebachi (giant wasps)?  They get my fear and infinite respect.  I will literally cross the street or stay inside my house to avoid going near one.  I'm super racist against them.  I had one fly in my window a few years ago, thought he went back out so i closed the window.  Woke up the next morning to hear a giant buzzing sound... slide open the door to my living room, fuckin' thing is flying circles in there.  So I head out to the balcony, open the door from outside, and out he goes.
