Making the rounds promoting the DVD release of his latest movie, God Is Not Dead, actor Kevin Sorbo ventured into touchy territory when he accused the Jews of killing Jesus Christ, reports Right Wing Watch. In a phone interview with “Vocal Point” radio program host Jerry Newcombe, the former star of television’s Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, explained that the success of Mel Gibson’s 2004 film The Passion of the Christ, opened doors to other Christian-based films being made.Initiating the coversation, Newcombe said, “I think Mel Gibson crashed a gate, in a very big way, 10 years ago.”“Oh, he got attacked when he was shooting ‘The Passion’,” Sorbo agreed before continuing, “From the Jewish community, saying ‘look at the way you’re portraying us,’ I mean, I go, okay, news bulletin: you did kill Jesus.”Sorbo then laughed, adding, “Come on!”Quickly jumping in, Newcombe corrected Sorbo saying, “Well, they delivered him over to the Romans, right.”“Exactly,” Sorbo agreed. “They did deliver him, so they had a hand in it. Um, and what did it do? A $30 million movie made $500 million, so Mel sort of had the last laugh there.”Listen to the audio below from Right Wing Watch:
Sorbo then laughed, adding, “Come on!”
I can't be the only one that sees potential for a Kevin Sorbo smiley here:nojews
so Mel sort of had the last laugh there.”
‘God’s Not Dead’ actor Kevin Sorbo laughingly tells Jews: ‘News bulletin: You did kill Jesus’
How on earth is he "God's Not Dead actor Kevin Sorbo" and not "Hercules forever Kevin Sorbo"?
How is Kevin Sorbo suddenly a big christian star anyway?
xena was always the better show anyways
Don't know what I'd do if Lucy Lawless came out swinging like this. The conflict within me would be devastating.
To me he was "Andromeda actor Kevin Sorbo"
Squiddy is definitely the Jew of Boria. Blamed for everything and constantly shat on, but despite all the adversity he perseveres. In a couple years he'll own the site and charge 50 cents for a like.
