Ass Creed Freedom Cry - Good?
« on: September 24, 2014, 03:18:24 AM »
I haven't been a big fan of the Ass Creed games, I played 1 and 2 for a few hours, but this standalone expansion seems cool. And it's only a few hours so I might finish it. The setting seems real cool and all.

Plus I think it's on sale now :)

What are your opinions if you played it?

Haven't played it, but it's a "more aggressive Assassin's Creed 4" from what I've heard. AKA: Less "stealth/follow" missions and more going right into combat which is an improvement if you've played Ass Creed 4.

Main campaign is supposed to take 3 hours max as well.

Xbox.com shows it as DLC, not standalone. On which platform are you playing it?

Steam as well. So it'd be weird if the 360 version doesn't have a stand alone in addition to it being a DLC chapter for AC4: Black Flag.

Yeah, weird. It looks like 360 and Xbone show the DLC version on the online store, but there's no stand-alone version.

I keep wanting to get AC4 or, now, this because everyone says the water is gorgeous and the ship-based gameplay was the fun part of AC3.

The water looks good... on next-gen. AFAIK the water isn't as amazing on last-gen due to not having some effects that the PC/DX11 does for GPUs.

I never had too many "rogue waves" to see in my rush to finish the main game (I should go back and 100% but I'm so burned out doing collectibles in the previous 5+ Assassin's Creeds to where I can't simply be fucked at the moment to do that.  :lol) which was the impressive part to me. Though I did have a water tornado blow through 4 enemies ships while inching inches of me (hiding in a bunch of rocks) who I then boarded to take their items/lower my wanted level in like Sequence 8 or so.  :lol :lol :lol

Played for an hour, game seems a bit rough.

Dont really like the combat, controls or movement, doesnt feel as smooth as Infamous First Light.

Setting is cool so ill def finish it, but I wont buy the full game and or sequels.

I shouldn't have purchased AC4, even when I got on sale for a good price last year.  No more Ass Crud games for me.

I’m kind of feeling that way about AC: Liberation HD, which was only US$5.

I think I might be done with AC game period also. I kinda want to play that last one though that was about pirates. But otherwise the series just doesn't draw me in anymore.

No. And it's only three hours long. :comeon Finish the title. At worst you have to restart the memories. I had that same thing (script not triggering) happen in AC4 a few times.

It almost certainly depends on which country your PSN account resides. European countries’ laws are frequently more consumer-facing than corporate-facing. Have a look at your EULA, or just contact Sony through their website.
