it's a rhythm game.  on the ps1 you could use your own music to create new levels (like monster hunter in that you swap cds), but unless they somehow patched in mp3 support, I don't think that will carry over.

yeah I missed that.  I mainly play ps1 games on vita, but it's cool it works.  they also sort of imply that ps1 emulation will come to ps4.

I know it's a rhythm game but I wasnt sure how the music thing worked. I was going to ask how they were going to transfer the music grabbing thing.

You can stick a PS1 disc in a PS3 and it'll play it just fine (usually), yeah.

Yes. PS1 emulation has been software based for a long (read: PS2) time. IIRC the PSTwo/revision dropped the PSX chips and had the software based emulator. If not that the PSP did.
