Oh you mean at the end of the year I'll have to file it on my taxes. It's not a lot of money, only around 4k. How much will that affect my taxes?

It's impossible to say without knowing a lot more about your tax treatment, but consider the following:

4,000 * .10 = 400 (penalty)

4,000 * .25 = 1,000 (income tax)

So worst case scenario, 1,400 of extra tax for earning no income.

Sorry to make you stress about your triumph. :shaq2

Nah it's good bruh. I'm a big dummy when it comes to this shit.

Thanks for the help guys  :respect

You're not a dummy, you just used common sense wrt something covered by the Internal Revenue Code. :)

Yeah... I just called them back and they explained it as well.

Well... shit. I don't know where I land on the tax bracket really so I don't know how much I would have federal take out for it to be kosher. Even if it was around 30% total, having close to 3k would be nice.

Blah. I'll think it over.

If you get a refund every year on your return, it'll just wipe it out - reduce it or create a small balance. You could always change your withholdings on your W4 too so your job starts withholding more to cover it.

Not sure how much you make it but they probably have an online calculator for early withdrawal. And what your tax amount and/our rate would be.

Don't forget about your state taxes too. They'll probably get you as well.

PSA: We did the same thing one year, about the same amount of money from a past job. I think I had more withheld from it, but it wasn't a huge deal on our taxes. Worth it to me to have the cash at the time.

I think I'll sit on it for awhile. I don't need the money right now but I will be draining a lot of funds to facilitate the move so I'll give it a month or two and see where I'm at then decide.

Impressing yourself in the kitchen :lawd

Couple nights ago I made some amazing garlic shrimp. I threw in some fresh ginger towards the end and that shit was like the cheat code
:whew

Today I made some baked salmon. I also cooked some sweet potatoes; cut them into cubes, almost like a sweet potato hash brown. I decided to throw some ginger in the sweet potatoes and yooo it was awesome. It was a perfect combination taste wise

This morning I stood in front of the bathroom mirror and thought "I have never, since the onset of puberty, looked better than right this moment".

Which really says more about my past than my present, but it's still a weird realization.

Finished the first chapter of my novel. Who knows how much of it will remain by the time I'm finished and edit (and re-edit), but it feels great to have one done.

As of my most recent weigh-in, I'm now officially at the lowest weight of my entire adult life. The Mio Energy and not eating diet comes highly recommended.

Your market value is whatever you agreed to. What's weird is that you said you had to work crazy overtime to make ends meet, but now you're working a fixed rate, which I assume is a livable income. If you can make it into a reasonable amount of hours for that fixed salary, you're ahead of the game, otherwise you just agreed to something worse than what you had, which at least paid you for actual hours worked.

I know that sounds harsh, but if you work a year on salary you will be able to shop around. People are always happy to score someone after a previous company has taken the full-time chance on them.

Yep, it's definitely a livable income and I'll be working a typical 40 hour work week now. Plus, my boss agreed to raise my salary up to what I initially asked for sometime in January.

Exactly so.

My 2nd job in the game industry was at a mid-sized publisher. They offered me 50% more than the start-up I'd come from, so I was elated. Less than a year later, a salary discussion came up and it turned out that "plush" salary was still 25% less than every other Art Lead there, many of whom had not come in with two shipped products, nor were they getting the results I was.

spoiler (click to show/hide)
I re-negotiated, and a week later I was on par with the rest of the Art Leads. :tophat

20 more minutes until lunch. I made it brehs. :whew

All I ate yesterday was four scrambled eggs w/red peppers and mushrooms. It was my morning pre-workout meal. After my workout I was too tired to do anything else and wound up not cooking.

Think I'm gonna get tacos :whew

GF and I were gonna meet at her place at 10.
She's being a dingus, oversleeps, and I can't get into the apartment.
Buzzing the door and calling her phone but nothing.
Walk around back and think about scaling this fence when a bank employee comes out looking like :what
Apologize and explain my story, he says the fence is bank property but also good luck.
Finally find the way in.
Open a garage door and pass through the garage to the back yard.
Then scale the fire escape and get in through the living room window.
Didn't get arrested :rejoice

I am not a nutritionist, but isn't it counterproductive to work out and not eat for that long? (If only because you don't repair muscle and replenish energy stores.)

Actually yes. Still I didn't feel like cooking, and didn't want to order anything (or going to Taco Bell).

It's perfect. I used to work out in the evening but things started to get real crowded due to the football team beginning practice; I work out at a highschool track less than 5 minutes from my place. Whereas in the morning (or around noon on weekdays) there might be 1-3 other people there, plus the weather isn't too hot. This morning there was an older guy on the track and a lady doing the bleachers with her young son.

I job/walk the track for a couple miles and then do the bleacher stairs for most of my session.

Well, there's always the potential the person you're dating could turn out to be a massive whore. Right now, not too worried since I trust her and this is my best friend since elementary school.

There's also 4 other roommates, 2 of them a couple so she'll be with another chick in this apartment.

Will update if I get cucked bruhs >:(
