I was feeling pretty good three hours after the surgery was over but there was some stinging after surgery was done. Still need to put in eye drops every 30 minutes but that is a minor inconvenience.

-Colleague A mailed me saying we need to buy a birthday present for Colleague B, as this was exactly 1 week after my birthday and I didn't get a gift I just replied "oh we're buying gifts now?"

-Went to a full day bachelor party, had a lot of fun, but was good about my drinking pace and got up early next morning with no hangover

-Cleaned the entire house before wife and daughter got home on sunday after a week with her folks, installed a new shower, fixed shower curtains etc.

In the last year I've started fixing things that I used to otherwise replace. Now I understand why my grandparents generation is so smug all the time. It really makes you feel empowered and self-sufficient. Plus it's a great skill to prepare for the zombie apocalypse.
