Brought my dog to the park yesterday. My girlfriend and I have been trying to get more comfortable with her off the leash (we live in the city) in parks, so we've been doing it more often. The pup's been good so far, so I decided to test how good she was.

We walked from one area of the park to the other to see if she would follow. She did. We made sure she could refocus on us while playing. She could. To top it all off, when we wanted to go, she only needed to be told once to come over and have the leash put back on.

Guys, I can't even begin to describe how much of a fixer-upper this dog was when we adopted her from the shelter. So when she was perfect yesterday, I was legitimately like

I did that last year and my sister freaked out.

I also got depressed that so few people knew my birthday. A few people wrote email, asking if they had my birthday correct, because facebook wasn't confirming it. In the end, I decided I'd rather have 50 vapid well-wishes than a half dozen sincere but confused emails.

Edit: Also, I still have a full time job so I value my weekends (the only part of the week I do freelance work) highly.

Edit2: Also also, I could technically knock the whole project out in less than 8 hours and still get $500.

Recently hired as the Product Manager of a digital ticketing company in Nashville. Real exciting concept, but it needs a heavy visual overhaul that I hope to oversee.

Case was pushed AGAIN to March because my results are lost. If they aren't back by March, the case will be tossed.

Very low on money at the moment but I'll be getting a steady income soon, and my girlfriend and I seem to be doing really well

Had the kickoff meeting for my new (newer) company's first project. Just enjoyed a fine-fine-fine beer at the clean, well-lit bar inside Whole Foods, while working on it, and my Mom keeping herself entertained with a book and soda.
