Not anything I've done, but Google finally turned on phone calling for their Google Home (Amazon Echo competitor) device today.

They also let you link your Google Voice (or Project Fi) number with it, and that unlocks extra functionality like international calls, premium (1-900) calls, and outbound calls using your own number.
Calls on the Echo need your phone and the app installed (it routes the call through them); Google Home
without Voice uses a virtual private number (so people you call won't know it's you calling.)
Google Home + Voice is the ultimate hands-free calling solution.
Since my Voice number is all I've ever given to people, I am 💯% set! 👌

This is doubly good news since yesterday I bought my third Google Home, though it was basically free at Best Buy with the purchase of a Philips Hue three-bulb starter set.
