Still, my hat goes off to Wisconsin for running a clean program and not stuffing cash in handler's pockets.

Agreed.

I don't think Kaminsky is going to be a great pro but he was a hell of a college player.

We definitely know that's how Duke gets top tier players, including how they got Okafor over MSU. I'm not aware of Big Ten teams that run questionable programs in regards to handlers. A lot of Wisconsin's best players were from inside the state, including their Mr. Basketball. Not saying Duke is as bad as Kentucky but let's be real, they cheat in recruiting too.

I'm just saying we don't know shit until well after the fact. No one thought of Syracuse or NC as dirty programs and yet they were doing dirty shit also. My opinion is that all programs are suspect.

To be fair how do you think they bagged Carmelo Anthony over bigger programs? How did NC put together arguably the best college team in recent memory a few years ago.

My problem is that Michigan got popped for this in the 90s yet it's far more prominent today, and the NCAA doesn't do shit because it would topple elite programs.

Same reason Alabama will probably never get popped in football. Dunno if you followed signing day this year but multiple SEC players got on twitter showing their new cash off...yet no investigations. Come on.

Huh? Everybody knew the Cuse was dirty since I was playing ball back in the 90's, come on man.

NC? LOL been dirty for 30 years.

Little know fact, Syracuse was in contention for 2 of the fab 5 (wont name names) until Martin dipped into his pockets (and Sam Zells)

This whole conversation just goes to show that trying to hold one program up as clean is pointless- they're all doing it to one extent or another. If you don't believe that, I've got a bridge to sell you.  This is why people who try to claim college sports are somehow "more pure" than the pros and that "it's just kids out there, having fun!" are full of shit. GTFO with that nonsense. Shit is a business, you're just crying because Kentucky does business better than most or all.

Bo Ryan isn't cutting checks. Neither is Tom Izzo. Let's be real. Do they offer perks that probably aren't legal, like giving a kid a ride in an expensive car or "gifting" a PS4? Yea, sure. But that's quite different than literally stuffing thousands of dollars into a handler's bag.

Izzo has been very open about that shit. Which isn't surprising considering he lost due to players to Duke due to not playing the game. Jabari Parker and Okafor...

So this is still a thing.

No great teams this year. Buddy Hield is a pretty good shooter.

Lot of teams lost this week, should see some shuffling in the polls tomorrow.

Man the MSU hatred is strong around here. Are they as good as they seemed at the beginning of the season? Of course not. But they're still a good team. Was talking to some haters at work who were saying MSU barely beat Indiana. I watched the game last night...they won by like 20  :lol

Then I noticed it's a sports radio talking point right now, which must be where they got it. scust...

Looking forward to Duke v NC.

It's the same old Izzo offense where it goes through stretches where it's god awful and the players move a few feet back and forth. Valentine looking for assists to pad his stats, so setting up pick and rolls, sometimes is the only thing that yanks them out of the funk. Plus playing guys who don't do anything but hustle. Or Seniors because they're Seniors.

Deyonta Davis is far and away the teams best player. There's no way he's the 240lb he's listed at though. Maybe 204.

I was just looking at kenpom and the Spartans are like 3rd in offense, far and away the best "offensive" team in the top 10. If anything this seasons reminded me of how stupid a benchmark rpi is.

early exit for Self again, but no shame in losing to this Villanova team. Syracuse and Dotre Name are gonna get curb stomped tomorrow. I'm rooting for Oklahoma, Hield is a legit elite shooter (no shit, jake) who is going to make an immediate impact at the next level (no shit, jake). Easily the most polished offensive game out of this year's crop.

Is an elite 8 berth really an early exit for Self? Honestly I thought they'd go out earlier.

What a year for broken tropes. I expected MSU to go far (as always) and Nova to choke (as always).
