for their unique genetic make-up (I read this in the NYT).

But unfortunately for now drugs are a crap shoot and some of the best pills will destroy you.

This is a thread about how amazing Lorazepam is.  :rejoice

Why would you hand over your genetic makeup just for some custom meds? Who is to say they won't just look at it and decide not to bother covering the meds today because they can tell that you will die from heart failure in a year anyway?

What do you mean tailored to your genetic makeup

How would this work

here is an article about it from 1999:

Quote
"With the genome being completed, I think we're literally going to move from statistical-based medicine, where we're thinking about entire populations, to personalized medicine," said Kenneth J. Conway, president of Millennium Predictive Medicine, a majority-owned subsidiary of Millennium Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge, Mass. "I think we're going to look back 10 years from now and think of medicine as being in the dark ages."

lol.

if they could make a benzo that sidesteps the torturous dynamic between physiological tolerance and withdrawal symptoms it would be extremely my shit.
