I said that before, but there's a niche fanbase for MGO. It's going to be curious to see the Steam population for MGO, however. On PS4, I could see some people putting up with Konami's bullshit after MGO3.0/MGS4's Japanese-only focus.

MGO is jank. Maybe Los Angeles will make it "work" but I haven't been impressed with ANY of the MGO iterations Kojima Productions has put out.

Like I said though, there's a niche fanbase for it. But honestly, IMO, I really wish Kojima would just focus on what he's good at (movie games) instead of trying to do something he isn't great at (multiplayer PvP).

the appeal is you can get in your spaceship and fly from planet to planet. whether or not exploring procedurally generated planets has lasting appeal, who knows.
