It's horrible. How many people buy it? It's flat right out of the can. Why does it continue to exist! And why do people keep buying it when I say "get diet"

Diet sodas taste like doodoo, that's why I keep buying caffeine free. Splenda helps, but it's still a bit wonky. Plus most diet sodas still have caffeine in the them...

Actually, I wonder why caffeine free doesn't take the world by storm. Not popular enough.

The only diet soda I honestly can't stand is Diet Coke

Which ones? I find CF Coke to be incredibly fizzy. Probably moreso than the regular.

I despise caffeine-free soda.Â They say that you can't tell the difference taste-wise, but that's BS.Â My father only buys caffeine-free soda, and always tries to justify it to me when I ask him why, on those few occasions each year when we have large gatherings, we can't just have regular, caffeinated soda -- it's not like we have soda in the fridge every day or anything, in which case his stance might make sense for health reasons.Â It annoys me.

Caffeine free tastes better. Caffeinated has a slightly acrid taste to it.

Heh, I don't know why, exactly, but I feel the need to defend caffeine free products.

I view caffeine as another drug; one that I don't need to be addicted to (which I was for quite a while). Although I do drink tea which contains it naturally. But as an artificial additive in sodas? I just don't dig that.

I have to drink diet and diet really only tastes mightily different if its regular soda.Â So pepsi and diet pepsi are very different, but diet dr pepper or diet root beer don't taste much different from their regular counterparts.Â I can't stomach regular pepsi or coke anymore because of the sweetness, but I can't deal with caffiene free at all. It just tastes flat.Â Soda without the pop and fizz just isn't fun.

Soda as a whole is nasty shit when drank regularly (more than once a week if that).

Loved it as a "kid" (under 20) but after that sorta outgrew it. Much prefer water. Just the other day I was eating at Souplantation and wondered why the water is free and I have to pay for soda. Weird and fucked up shouldn't it be the other way around?
