Wendy's.

Best local place around here is probably Got Burger. They have a pretty badass puree garlic burger. Only bad thing is that their fries are soggy...but man, the sweet potato fries are still good despite that. I wish they had onion rings.

I've been a vegetarian for years but I had In and Out when I had the opportunity to see what the hype was about, and it's really about nothing. I had Denny's for breakfast the next morning and it was the far better meal (although it wasn't a burger). In and Out is as shit and overrated as LOTR movies.

Having In N Out once every couple of years is exciting and all, but I had to choose between having an In N Out or a Checkers 5 minutes from where I live, there's no doubt the fries will prevail.

lol the one near me was closed due to a fire as well. They've been fixing it since late summer which is weird. A Burger King further down the street was halfway torn up and rebuilt around the same time. Dunno what's taking Wendy's so long.

I take issue with you implying many of these burger joints are in the same tier, dog boy.   :ufup

McDonald's: Easily the worst thing on this list. Almost everything is such low quality garbage.
Burger King: Above McDonald's but also kinda crap.
Jack in the Box: Has some really good items on the menu but is expensive as fuck.
Wendy's: Less pricey version of Jack's.
In and Out: I've actually warmed up to this a lot more over the years, but I do agree it's pretty overrated.

The clear winner though is Carl's. Best food for reasonable prices. The eatery of choice for the working man :bow

McDonalds is not a hamburger; it’s a subset of snack food, every member of the set tasting identical to any other member of its set.

I had a Double Double animal-style with animal fries the other day, and there was nothing overrated about it :ufup

It's absolutely not in the same tier as a burger from a dedicated burger joint, but it beats the shit out of a Whopper or Quarter Pounder with Cheese or whatever from a real bottom-tier fast food place.

I kind of want to try Whataburger now. I don't think we have any in California.

im pretty sure whataburger is a texas franchise. but its praised a lot too

It's ok- but i'd rather have a couple JBCs. I think the big knock I have against Wendy's these days is the movement of the JBC out of the dollar menu. Hell, do they even have a dollar menu anymore? ANYWAY- when I worked at Staples back in the day I loved hitting up Wendy's on the way home and getting two JBCs and two 5-piece nuggets + drink. VALUE.

Get it animal style. If that doesn't hook you, the chain isn't your thing.
In n out is all about the secret menu. My uncle likes to tell a story bout how him and his gang started animal style as they'd hang at Baldwin Park causing trouble and that's how they'd order their burgers.

It’s kind of my holdout curmudgeon tendencies which have had me avoiding Taco Bell for the last 10 years, despite a couple trips back to the USA per year. I think it’s this forum’s inability to recognize In-N-Out Burger as the premiere cheap fast-food entity that it is.
