Quote
Another year of waiting for The Winds of Winter to blow is in store for fans of George RR Martin, as his publisher confirmed there are no plans for the much-anticipated latest volume from his A Song of Ice and Fire series to appear in 2015. Instead, readers will have to comfort themselves with an illustrated edition of three previously anthologised novellas set in the world of Westeros.

ADWD wasn't on the 2011 publishing schedule either. And Martin's British publisher doesn't even receive partials, I'm not really convinced she's up to date on things.

I used to think 2015 was very likely but now I tend to think early 2016 is more believable, right before season 6.

5 books in ~20 years PD, I could divide. That's one every let's say four, two of them shits was due. Two was solid, one of them was 'Game of Thrones'. That's a one hot book book every ~20 year average.

Old news. Looks like the lamestream media is catching up to forum dwellers sperging out about Wind's release last month.

Honestly, we'll probably find out about where the series is headed before this season starts when everyone starts asking the Game of Thrones showruuners about GRRM's progress.

Series >>>> books at this point. Dude hasn't written a good one since Storm of Swords, should just let the rapey, tit obsessed tv producers finish it off from here.

They're all great books, and yeah who knows when they'll come out.

At least at this rate he can base the final book off reactions to the TV ending just to fuck with people's expectations lol

I have already accepted that we won't see a proper conclusion to the series. Winds of Winter will still come out though, someday. :goty
