Looking pretty damn stylish. Almost looks like they're doing away with the dating sim aspect of social links. That bar is giving me Catherine vibes too.

Still...I'm missing the vibes of pre-Persona 3 Atlus. I want to be slightly creeped the fuck out while playing due to it's dreary atmosphere, music, and occult obsession like before  :'(

Caring about FF after Square took 10+ years to make the next one. Oh boy.

The trailer looked slick and the gameplay seems a bit more engaging than 3/4's "dating sim + dungeon crawl." It also seems to be using Gamebryo since the bar they were in looked similar to Catherines.

I'm pretty hyped for the PS3 version. Catherine on PS3 looked damn good.

I was expecting Persona 5 to be "lazily" made to be completely honest. While Persona 3 and 4 are good/great games, a lot of the fanbase does get feverish and erratic when it comes to assigning praise to the series. Persona 5 didn't need to be that different to hype up the fanbase.

Persona 5 in my head was another highschool story revolving around how highschool sucks and how this group of teenagers fights monsters and demons as a form of release. I was expecting similar dungeon crawling as well.

Instead the style, cast, narrative, dungeon crawling, is completely new and fresh compared to past Persona games. Pleasantly surprised by all of this.

I thought part of the delay with Persona 5 was that they scrapped the Catherine engine and started from scratch?

http://gematsu.com/2015/02/persona-5-director-discusses-characters-themes-development#sxtdRL54j6jhfKIj.99

Quote
In previous Persona games, the stories revolved around pretty traditional heroes going after villains that most anyone one would be loath to associate themselves with; they pursued the bad guys for the sake of justice, essentially. This time around, though, the protagonists of Persona 5 themselves are on the run for doing what they think is right after something happens completely out of the blue. That mixture of thrills and not-so-larger-than-life cast of characters is what composes the idea of “academy juveniles” for us. We think that these characters that are going to be a little rougher around the edges than those who have come before them in the series, coupled with the strides we’ve made in visual and sound design we can pull off something really special here.

Yes and no. Marie does Skill Cards that weren't available in P4. P4's SHUFFLE TIME was made easier. There's more difficulty settings and the fusion UI has been cleaned up somewhat.

Is all that worth buying a handheld for? Well... no. Double-so the new events. Depends on how much you like P4 and want to replay/see P4 for $200+

Good, you can leave. Persona 1 & 2 > 3 & 4
