This is the only photo I have of a 'recent' game-related purchase--
an ASUS MX279H 27" IPS monitor. Got this in December.

I've been using it for my currently hooked up consoles (PS3, PS4, and Wii U) and keep thinking I should hook my PC up to it, too, but the 23" ASUS I have it hooked up to works great. (The laptop on the right is hooked up to the TV and is used for watching videos)
We're in the market to buy a place, so I'm going to be changing stuff around soon enough anyway. I'm going to have my own game room again when that happens and plan on using the three PC monitors I have, small HDTV, and old Samsung GXTV in there to hook everything I have up. The larger HDTV would stay in the living room, which would be a video game-free zone apart from playing emulators and stuff on a PC that gets hooked up to it. Going house-hunting tomorrow!

Recent purchases for me have been mostly digital. I got Resident Evil HD and Saint's Row Gat Outta Hell several weeks ago. Have barely touched either one. Got Duke Nukem on PS3/Vita. Got a physical copy of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 on Vita last week but I'm not going to play it until I finish the original, which I'm about halfway through.
Waiting on Sengoku Musou 4-II next week and then DOA5 Last Round the week after. I think Dragon Quest Heroes is the week after that...crazy Koei-related releases starting once again.
Whomp Em is a weird game - they took a game blatantly based off of Journey to the West and replaced Sun Wukong with some racist Native American stereotype. The music still sounds very Chinese in feel and there are bamboo forests so they didn't even bother to change much aside from adding a feather to the lead character and changing his pole to a spear. Game seems to be pretty decent.
That is bizarre.

Why even change the character then?
