We're taking 2 weeks this year in the summer without the kids (thanks based parents for the help). We have narrowed our choices to the four provided options. Where do we go, bore? Any info would be appreciated.

Well if this was a solo vacation that would be a good thing. Not sure I want to be "tested" if the wife is around ha ha.

Actually Brazil was her idea, she's been on a kick since the world cup. And to that thought I totally should have went to the world cup, would have been amazing.

Australia is what I know best since my family lives there. The cities are real nice but what's really good is the nature and wildlife. Visit the zoos, the preserves. Just don't freak out when you see a spider the size of a hubcap or ants the size of 7.62 caliber bullets start crawling around tho (Image removed from quote.)

Quiet as kept if you're doing Australia I highly recommend you make a stop by on your way back and check out New Zealand. Most naturally beautiful place I've ever seen.

Chances are we're doing Brazil because that's what the wife wants, but I personally would probably prefer Prague or Australia as I've only been to each place once and not long enough to check stuff out.

Australia in the summer is winter-timey down there, isn't it? Would be fine if you're into 40-60 degree weather? Though, given the "Bogans" down there... I'm not too sure how kindly they'd take to a black couple going around Australia?

Spain and Czech would probably be a close second. I wouldn't do Brazil, personally. But that's mostly because of having to speak Spanish/Portuguese down there and other issues.

How does it compare with spiders and shit? Australia seems nice to visit but unless I conquer my fear of insects/spiders and all other types of nasty shit I might be better off vacationing in New Zealand. I hear the weather is better in Australia tho.

Great place to visit now the US$ is worth more. Don't live here though because everything is fucking expensive, especially housing. I used to work for a US company that many of you would know of by name and whenever our boss visited he always asked what was cheap here, since he asked that wherever he visited. We never had an answer since everything is expensive.

Spiders need to be watched, but the majority of them are harmless. The Box Jellyfish in Far North Queensland (Townsville/Cairns) are fucking deadly and they will shut beaches if they're around. If you're just visiting major cities you'll probably never see any of them, we just like to scare people.

The snakes are the assholes you need to watch out for.

I went to Belgium last year, it was awesome. Wish I'd had more time to get to Bruges, but Brussels and Antwerp were fantastic and the food was phenomenal. Can happily recommend some places if you want.
