NYC people?
« on: March 10, 2015, 07:31:23 PM »
So I'm gonna be in the NYC area (Brooklyn) from the 22nd to the 28th.

GF will be at work during the weekdays so I'll need to entertain myself for a lot of the time.

Anyone want to recommend some cool stuff for a dude alone to check out? Or maybe someone wants to meet me or whatever I dunno.

You looking for hookers?  Cause it sounds like you're looking for hookers.

Well you didn't specify that you were looking for a novel experience.

Near Sunset park. like a block away i think.

budget... i dunno, probably don't want to spend a ton of money. obv i want to save some stuff for couple stuff as well. and i don't want to get into anything too complicated since i'll be super new to the area and don't want to get in over my head.

I would really recommend Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.  They're right next to each other and are fairly cheap and really worth it.  Though the Botanical Gardens may not be in the best shape (like the Rose Garden etc) there's some neat greenhouse stuff there.  There is the Prospect Park Zoo which isn't great, but the Bronx Zoo is pretty far from there.
