So... I was talking to Sunblade tonight and he told me that he only had one single RTS mission to do in Type-0, and at the stage he was at, I had asked why he hadn't done more.

Well, apparently all of the story-based RTS battles (up to Chapter 5, anyway) are now optional.  That's... woooooow.  That makes a huge difference to me because I hated those!  That's pretty amazing.  I'm glad they listened to feedback on those.  You just miss out on XP and gil for those, but who cares because you can exploit XP acquisition in both versions of the game anyway!

I wish someone had told me that before!  I would've grabbed it and given the game a third chance. :(

How do you lose in this game? I was frequently down to 0 HP, with all my team members kaput, but I kept on getting revived for 360HP.

If you'd like, I'll figure out how to lose tomorrow.  I ended up glitching the demo a bit and getting enemies stuck on rocks and duplicating cars on Friday.  It was pretty fun.

I'm still not finished the demo, tho.  Just been screwing around trying to break things.

So you have to get to 0 life and stumble around a bit before you can summon? Has all the gritty hazed out, slow mo death effects seen in other modern classics such as CoD, along w a very cinematic summoning. Seems like AAA gaming for sure.

So this game is super easy to 1k surprisingly. You can actually get it on your first playthru, despite needing to play it twice to get the "true" ending. Average time is about 30-40 hours if you dont really take your time.

Eight is beast mode. Everyone else feels so sloppy to fight with.

Just asking. You've liked certain games early on, but seemed annoyed with them by the time you finished. One of the PS3 Tales games for example.

Eight is fantastic and I'm glad to see people picking him up.  Cater is just as fast in terms of moving around with her weapon out or even just moving normally.  Different attacking type, though, since she's ranged.  I got Sunblade to try out Deuce and Sice since they was two of my faves in the PSP version and I think he enjoys them to an extent.  At least, after I gave him pointers on which skills to unlock first and foremost.  He seems to go for Cinque, though, but I don't like slower power characters much.

Gonna ask for my own copy next month for my birthday so I could try out the superior version with skippable RTSes.

I'm glad I checked in here after I finished the Duscae demo.  Summons are whatevs; haven't liked using them since FF6 (and I hope that scene is skippable or has a shorter version).  But I had lotsa fun with the demo, and took down most of the final boss's HPs myself until I got stupid and didn't see where I was going.  Might fight it legit later on since it's out in the field and I'm at a higher level.

Cinque is garbage. Too ditzy and has a lol mallet.

I dont really know what are some good abilities to use for characters, though. Cant be assed to test around with them.

My main team is Eight + Ace + Rem

Cinque is a tank that can stun anything that can be stunned with a 100% success rate. She was soloing Behemoths/King Behemoths in that one cave that's full of them while everyone else ate a bunch of shit.  :wag

I beat the game using pretty much everyone except Ace and Nine. They're the most boring of the lot, even sticking Deuce in my party with Crescendo to buff me was a better use of my party spot. Though my main squeezes were Cater, Queen, Cinque and Sice for the majority of it. Cater's absolutely the best character to use for RTS missions IMO.

You can try to steal one off a slip at gamestop.

You can buy the code itself for average $20 online.

You can buy the game, redeem the code, return the game and proclaim anime sucks.

So that Secret Mission training thing is ridiculous. You can just mess with the system clock and level everyone to 99 easily. Huh.

Is there anyway to get the XV demo without buying Type-0? I've been watching gameplay footage and I really want to play around in it.

Yes, I am a dirty poor.
One month late, but do you still need one?

Apparently they are pushing an update to the demo, based on feedback on certain things. Pretty cool. Will give the demo a try again.

Yeah, better framerate and camera adjustments should be cool.  I'd play the demo again.

Shame they didn't seem to get feedback on adjustable weapon decks, though.  It would make switching between battles easier since you do need to change weapon slots depending on the enemy.  Essentially what I had wanted were the equivalent of adjustable paradigms or garment grids.

So that Secret Mission training thing is ridiculous. You can just mess with the system clock and level everyone to 99 easily. Huh.

LOL, yeah, it's really broken.  I used to do that with the PSP sleep mode/date change, but based on what Sunblade's been telling me, it's much easier with the PS4.

Leveling up isnt really an issue, I guess if you want to do everything your first playthru? I dunno. You can Plat/1000 on your first run without any cheats.

Type-0 is better than the recent FF garbage.
I loved it.

Nine, Seven, Ace, King were coooool.
Unfortunately Cinque was annoying.
