SMT x FE = looks nothing at all like SMT or FE... will buy
Fire Emblem 3DS = will buy

No Xenoblade X info....

SMT x FE looks really fucking weird. Talk about two styles that don't go together at all.

So uh, it's a bunch of a Fantasy world colorful FE-ish characters who time-travel to SMT-ish modern world and fight in a battle system that's a mix of Persona & FE and it looks like it's being developed by one of the Megaten teams at Atlus (probably the Devil Survivor team). Doesn't seem like FE team is involved?

Weird stuff! But will play it regardless and at least now there's something to play on Wii U after Xenoblade 2.

The GAF thread on SMTxFE is kind of hilarious with how mixed it is. You have guys insulting it by comparing it to Conception and Imageepoch RPG of the month, and then you have guys praising it by comparing it to Conception and Imageepoch RPG of the month.

That's part of the confusion. All original characters. The few enemies shown in the trailer aren't SMT demons. I'm not entirely sure why they're even bothering saying its SMTxFE on twitter, cause it has nothing resembling those two series.

the white is more "traditional" fire emblem, while he "black" is supposed to be more difficult?

I disagree, it seemed uninspired last E3 but some of the recent stuff makes the online seem palatable.

I've been playing Codename Steam, it's decent but requires a lot of patience. Speeding up enemy turns will help. I'm almost through with Merciless mode and I give it a 7.5/10.

SMT x FE: Every bad thing I imagined about this game was true. It isn't even a tactics game. Oh well.

Fire Emblem 14: More waifucrap, more heavy DLC, and splitting the game into two carts? This is a joke, right?

FE12 seems like it might be the last good Fire Emblem, and they didn't even localize it.

It's interesting how the new FE looks more megaten than that other game. The black & white contrast, the "if" naming & logos. If you told me the Devil Survivor team was making the 3DS FE I wouldn't blink.

They don't get much room to talk when the last fire emblem boiled down to being "Marriage simulator 2012/3" with wife and swimsuit dlc.
