Man this really takes me back. I associate Mary Poppins with rainy days as a kid...every time I saw it the weather was overcast and rainy. Real chill, dark, peaceful days man. And now tonight I'm watching the video in the OP and there's a light drizzle outside; it's been raining nearly all day/night.
Downstairs watching Mary Poppins, while my mom cooked dinner upstairs. Waiting for my dad to get home. Then we'd have to go upstairs and greet him ("hi dad how was your day how are you feeling," I'm not joking), then run back downstairs. We couldn't watch much TV on week days but if an old movie was on we'd get to watch that. Or we'd get to watch something on PBS or Pax lol, like Wishbone or Diasnosis Murder lol. Those were the days brehs...
