Another Sopranos thread motherfuckers

Seriously though, compare this fictional relationship and the chemistry of the performers to others. Edie Falco shits all over whomever played Skylar in Breaking Bad, she shits on most women in TV. Estranged housewife is a easy trope to make people feel apathy towards. Throughout the entire series Carmella's attitude and demeanor never feel canned or fake.

James Gandolfini is one of the GOAT leads of all time, but Edie carries these scenes completely. She earned the GOAT status for these two scenes alone.

Falco is definitely the best actress to play that "wife to morally ambiguous or POS dude" character. The worst HAS to be Mackey's wife in The Shield.

Rewatching The Shield, I'd say she's alright and the character finally becomes important in the last season. She's grating in a lot of scenes, but I attribute that to the character and not the actress.

Something I didn't realize until now is the audience is shown very glimpse recreation periods, home life in The Shield doesn't exist for the audience. 99% of the show takes place at the barn or on the streets. So any time we see Vic's wife, its going to revolve around Vic failing as a husband or father.

Corrine is definitely the weakest woman character on the show. Danny, Claudette, Rawling, hell, even Mara, they all run circles around her.

Nip/Tuck came out at the perfect time and doesn't make sense unless you were noticing media trends at the time. Plastic surgery reality TV shows were huge, E!, TLC, any network that had reality TV had their own plastic surgery shit show. The majority of plastic surgery shows revolved around some 20 something chick getting new tits. If not that, then some random ass plastic surgery operation.

Nip/Tuck didn't lampoon those shows, rather, it was a more playful and eccentric take on plastic surgery. The show gets really dumb at times, but its a fun kind of dumb, not a Dexter kind of dumb.

Picking a best scene from Spartacus is hard because literally any scene with Gannicus or Batiatus is a classic. Those and almost every major character death. Especially if it's a villain.
