Baked ziti is always my go to. Mostly because it's easy to make and you can smother it in different cheeses. The penne pasta has those nooks and crannies that allow all the fat/sauce to stick to it. It's like lasagne without feeling so 'heavy'.

i used to eat cottage cheese lasagna as a kid

my wife still makes fun of me to this day

to answer this question i'd have to say a lasagna bolognese if I want to die of gluttony, or a noodle + pesto combo if I want to keep it light.

Unless some place has some amazing sauce or recipe, it's hard to justify spending north of $8 on pasta at a restaurant. Adding chicken doesn't make it worth $17 either. You can make a comparable dish at home for less that $5.

But eating there solo is a level of depravity I care not to sink to, nor is inviting anyone from my social circle an option as it will unravel my meticulously maintained public persona.

You're mixed Italian/Polish as well?

Favorite pasta dish... hmm, tough to say. Probably home-made rigatoni with roasted broccoli in a garlic and oil sauce. I throw in some sundried tomatoes in there and season it with a ton of chiles.

not liking pasta

dunno what my favorite is, I just like pasta brehs. The only bad pasta I've had was from a girl who was trying to impress me by cooking dinner for me. She made an undercooked pasta and broccoli dish, meh baked beans, and some struggle chicken wings.

I thanked her and ate it, she was pretty happy about it. A month later I saw her mom at an event and she said "my daughter said you ate her food. You didn't enjoy that shit did you?"
