Mortal Kombat 9, worth it for story mode alone?

I know yall be playing X, but 9 is on sale on Vita for a tenner and I was wondering if it was worth picking up for the single player story mode? Havent played MK since MK2.

Just for the story mode?  Nah.  Save ten bucks and watch it on Youtube instead.
