People are taking things that can and should be sold as class issues (like the wage gap and police brutality) that a much larger part of the electorate could rally around and solve and repackaging them as issues of sexism and racism (not saying those don't exist, just that their intersection with class is downplayed if not outright ignored). Division and purity tests aren't a good long term strategy for political action, but that seems to be the direction GAF and it's mods have taken. There is little to no desire to have their chosen narrative questioned, even if you mostly agree with it, but point out an inaccuracy you are labelled as an enemy. I think most reasonable people recognize that if what you say is true, it can stand up to debate. Instead if you bring up something the mods don't like you are banned or put on a list for future banning. Conversely, no speculation is too outrageous if it fits in with the popular opinion. The truth can't be elucidated if people have concerns, but are not allowed to discuss them.
