Slippers strike me as uncomfortable. And they're probably unsightly when combined with socks.

Get these Nuknuuk slippers from Costco.(Image removed from quote.)My mom had been getting me slippers for Xmas for a decade+, then would always buy me a new pair the next year as the previous one's had turned into tattered smelly messes. Last year she got me these and I was worried she might buy another pair has they had hung up so well and didn't really need replacement. (smart lady didn't, and had mentioned thinking they were too nice to replace when seeing them when I was back home )They might even hold out for another Xmas, can't recommend them enough. They even have a decent rubber sole so you can stroll outside with them if you're feeling especially subhuman.
