That's definitely good to know. The thing I loved about season one is that although there is action, it's nicely balanced with the more substancial emotional undercurrents of the character driven storylines. Sure you have Jack fighting terrorists, but you also have Palmer's marriage "problem" (to say the least) or Nina's confrontations with Jack's wife.
It reminded me of the first Mission Impossible in terms of putting story before action. Apparently the later seasons lose that focus a bit
