" A Hispanic-owned barbecue restaurant in northern Colorado has retracted to its plan to offer a "White Appreciation Day" discount after receiving widespread criticism and even a bomb threat."

"Antillon, who was born to Mexican parents, defended his idea, pointing to Black History Month and Hispanic Heritage month as examples. He said he figured “the least we could do is offer one day to appreciate white Americans.”

My parents did chastise me, but I was hardheaded as hell! I think I hated spinach so much, I actually puked once.

Can eat it these days tho. Same for a lot of things, I was mostly exaggerating to make a point. I don't hate mayo, I just think it's utterly pointless.

Still don't enjoy seafood though. Tuna is in that elusive Jack Johnson/Family Guy/Papyrus font category of horribleness.

Also, for some reason I feel like I need to stress that my mom's cooking was (still is, of course) tasty, varied, healthy and almost exclusively made from scratch.

My parents aren't at fault there and I have no idea at all where my picky eating came from.
