Wired is late to the party, but the more the merrier:

Let’s Call Out CSI: Cyber’s Hilariously Absurd Technobabble

IN ONLY TWO short months, CSI: Cyber has quickly become one of the most magnificently absurd police procedurals being aired by a major television network. To be fair, its problems are mostly a matter of circumstance: It’s actually just about as brain-dead as any other CSI series, but this go-round comes off especially bad since it was ostensibly designed specifically to follow technology-related fictional crimes. As a result, the gap between the content of the show and the knowledge it is supposedly built upon is much more dramatic than any other major Jerry Bruckheimer undertaking of the past few decades.

Award winning actors:
Quote
Elijah Mundo (James Van Der Beek) is a recently divorced father and former U.S. Marine. As Avery's second in command, Mundo is an expert in battlefield forensics, weaponry, vehicles and bombs. An avid gamer, he is all-but-too-aware of the dangers that lurk in the dark net.

Brody Nelson (Shad Moss/Lil Bow Wow), known as "Babyface" to the team, is a former black hat hacker who was caught and later recruited by FBI Cyber as part of Ryan's "hack-for-good" program.

Daniel Krumitz (Charley Koontz/Fat Neil), referred to by his nickname "Krummy", is an FBI Special Agent who Avery claims is the best white hat hacker in the world. He is a brutally honest, quick-witted introvert who specialises in the technical.

Raven Ramirez (Hayley Kiyoko) is a black-hat hacker turned FBI analyst as part of Ryan's "hack-for-good" program. After two years at FBI Cyber, she has become a specialist in social media investigations, international relations and cyber trends.

Edge of the seat, gripping plots:
Quote
THE CYBER CRIME TEAM INVESTIGATES WHEN NINE PLANES THAT DEPARTED FROM THE SAME AIRPORT FACE A COORDINATED WIFI ATTACK WHILE IN FLIGHT, ON "CSI: CYBER," WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29

THE CYBER TEAM TRACKS A KILLER WHO HACKS INTO A POPULAR ONLINE GAME AND TRICKS GAMERS INTO TO DELIVERING ILLEGAL WEAPONS, ON "CSI: CYBER," ON A SPECIAL NIGHT, MAY 12

AVERY CONFRONTS THE HACKER WHO RELEASED HER PATIENT'S INFORMATION ONLINE WHEN SHE WAS A PSYCHOLOGIST, ON THE FIRST SEASON FINALE OF "CSI: CYBER," WEDNESDAY, MAY 13

AGENT AVERY RYAN AND HER CYBER TEAM INVESTIGATE A ROLLER COASTER CRASH CAUSED BY SOMEONE HACKING INTO THE RIDE'S INTERNAL COMPUTER, ON A REBROADCAST OF "CSI: CYBER," SATURDAY MAY 16

And starting in season two: TED DAN SON.

However, if you prefer your elite cyber team to be executive produced by Justin Lin, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (along with 12 other people), then there's the 15 million viewers an episode Scorpion:

SCORPION is the season's #2 new series and Monday's most-watched drama averaging 15.17 million viewers, 3.6 in adults 18-49 and 4.9 in adults 25-54. The high-octane drama has been key to CBS's Monday turnaround, improving the year ago time period by +74% in viewers, +29% in adults 18-49 and +36% in adults 25-54.

The thing I don't understand from the two or three episodes I watched is that the main character and his lady friend are the most unlikable characters on the show and it wouldn't be as horrible without him. Especially if they focused on Robert Patrick, the behavioral psychologist guy and engineer girl.

  • It was all going to be very admirable and noble and it would show us - philosophically - what it means to be human.
