Actually, that's a chain restaurant.  It's not bad but I forgot the names of the awesome ramen joints I liked to hit up in Kanazawa.

Never had real authentic ramen until a month ago. Wasn't impressed.



Shit costs like 13 bucks and it wasn't any better than the custom ramen my dad and I made when I was a teenager (put a bunch of ramen in a pot, add green onions, beef broth, sausage, beef, chicken, veggies in that bitch). Further, it wasn't even touching the pho I've ate for half that price. This city has a higher Vietnamese population than Japanese, but still. and felt like a waste of money. Tasted like spiced up Maruchan. I could deal if it were like 6 bucks, but at 13 I was expecting god-tier noodles.

Makes me skeptical trying any other ramen due to a bad first experience, but I'm just going to chalk it up a blah ramen place and try another joint when I get the chance. But if they charge 13 dollars.

I would eat at Macho in Osaka every day if I could. It would probably kill me. Also, the large Japanese chain Kohmen has a killer tantanmen ramen. Don't forget shiso gyoza.

We've got Kukai here in Seattle, which is the best available. Garlic Shoyu ramen with some karaage makes me happy.

There is no part of anything you said there which has anything to do with rāmen. I’m now wondering if you’re secretly European. One of the indulgent, pale nation-states to the north, like Norway, or Finland.
