I stayed up once for 68 hours (or so) in my twenties. But it was completely drug-aided.

It got really weird at the end. Your sense of reality becomes profoundly warped. But it doesn't really 'stick with you' once you get some rest. Not like some acid induced experiences can.

I pulled an all nighter in college with adderall and caffeine. Usually I crash after taking whatever test in the morning, but one time I decided to stay up. Kept drinking energy drinks and finished off whatever addy I had left.

Around 48 hours in my heart started hurting after playing bball and lifting weights. Things started feeling weird, just like sense of time and general consciousness. I smoked a blunt with my buddies and shit got real wacky.

Thought it was really good bud at first, kept being like "breh, you seeing this?"

Hallways looked infinitely long. A crayon drawing of a bear was all distorted and evil looking, wiggling his finger at me. Text was appearing on a game case. I saw things in album art that did not exist.

I stared at a red LED light on my TV until I entered a world of monochromatic red and witnessed one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

It was like a flipbook animation of a couple coming together and embracing, while the background served as a fast motion history of human advancement: from pyramids to skyscrapers.

tfw shrooms and acid never come close to replicating that one time you stayed up for 2+ days

Over a hundred hour stretch once [from Wednesday through Sunday], I got maybe 12 hours of sleep and none of that was particularly good sleep. By Sunday, I had reached a level of physical exhaustion I have never felt before or since, almost complete zombification. It's a miracle I didn't crash my car during the 2-hour drive I had to do on Sunday to get home. Once I finally got to sleep on Sunday afternoon [about 3:00 pm], I didn't wake up until 7:00 am on Monday. Best sleep I've ever had, let me tell you.

Not sleeping for 100 hours is not unheard of, but outside of a crisis/war situation it sounds pretty insane to do this, especially with no drugs of any kind.

Part of is that she's in a largely featureless room furnished with a single chair and only gets to do one thing per hour, and some those things are designed to make people sleepy. It would obviously be different if she were at home and had access to whatever food and entertainment she wanted.
