E3 is saved: Mirror's Edge is back

my main point of concern when they talked about it, uh, 2 years ago now, is turning it into an open world game.  if that stuck.  but as long as there's a speedrun mode, whatever.

All they need to do for a true sequel (this is where I wave a magic wand) is to build it so you don't need the red highlights to guide you through. That, and no guns.

I would be fine with it being a one-off thing too if it meant that EA was treating it as a FIFA pack funded vanity project instead of contorting it in an (almost certainly doomed) attempt to get mainstream success.

The only way Fallout 4 could be good is if they went back to doing the Pen and Paper roleplaying of the first three Fallouts (and no, I'm not including Fallout 3 in that before you hurr hurr FO3 me. #ACTUALLY the story had potential. prior to release the story was that you played a courier delivering sneakernet packages to get around the total surveillance state. Unfortunately the first mission in the game discards the courier thing, and was about saving your sister from being framed for murdering the mayor just before an upcoming election (the murder was also being used to justify further police state expansions)

I think a neat story can be made from the baseline Mirror's Edge has. I don't think DICE is going to deliver that though.
