It was a concept that sounded interesting to me on paper when they teased it a couple of years ago, but the actual reveal and this trailer have demonstrated that no matter what gameplay it has to offer, it can not possibly be good enough to overcome just how much I hate the presentation.

I also trust Atlus to make an actual good game that goes beyond "cute girls, love them" that plagues waifu shit. I expect an Atlus game to have actual substance no matter what it's tone is. Nope it dosen't look like an actual mix of Fire Emblem or SMT, but I'm not a fan of those series so that really means nothing me. This is just another console jrpg to me with heavy modern anime stylings.

hyperbole aside, yeah.  I think it's disappointing how weak Star Fox looks.  but the wii u is dead, the nx isn't ready.  shift all resources to the new platform.  the 3DS games also looked a little like, these are some cheap games, let's recycle assets, and keep it going for another year.

Keep making Smash and Mario Kart DLC until NX. Just keep doing that and I'll be happy.

Oh and release Zelda next year. That'd be nice. But it might be a launch NX game anyways.

3DS still going surprisingly strong all things considered. It'll have four mainline Zelda games (+1 well-received spinoff-port) by the end of its life. Maybe another gen of Pokemon too. Crazy considering how "doomed" it was because of mobile.

I'm honestly interested to see how the last batch of DLC is doing for them. We know more stage DLC is coming at the very least, but I'm wondering how many more characters/how long they're planning on adding characters.

We know at least one more is coming because of the poll, which I think ends in the second half of the year? And then they'll need at least 4-6 months to make the damn thing. They have to be working on at least one or two others right now in the meantime.

There's sprites in the 3DS version for splitting the character select screen into pages, which makes sense since it's 100% full right now. I doubt they'd add a second page just for a single character but who knows.

I'd love more stages, even though they hinted Hyrule Castle and Peach's Castle might be the last ones. I want the really esoteric Melee stages like Kraid's Lair and Pokefloats. (And Saffron City from 64 but I don't think we'll get it. )

Let's not get carried away here giving them credit. Those fucking bundles aren't even discounted at all. Well, the cross buy stuff is discounted. But stuff like the Collection #2 Bundle? There was no discount at all. It was, to the cent, just the cost of every individual item added together. The only thing you saved buying the bundle was time spent clicking checkboxes.

Yeah Metroid isn't a stranger to long (dirt)naps. That's why the outrage over Federation Force is funny to me. This game being made is a no-op. Whether it exists or not has no bearing on whether a "real" Metroid gets made, or when it gets made. In fact it keeps the Metroid name alive in something other than Smash and Nintendoland for a few more years.
