Giant Bomb was saying Contra was the main inspiration for this dude on one of their livestreams, so it might have some difficulty to it.
Visually game looks amazing but the E3 demo was awful. Some sort of boring boss rush mode and a confusing world map that made no sense. Boss fights were basically fights against bullet sponges with a couple of rote patterns. Really disappointed in it.
That's the tricky gameplay balance in games like this. You want the user to see all the art, but you don't want to make the game piss-easy like Kirby's Epic Yarn.
I don't understand why it's called Cuphead?
